Dennis Roseths Story:
Artist, Producer, and Promoter; Dennis Roseth started spinning in Indianapolis after a life changing encounter with electronic music the year of 2000. In less than one year that talent was recognized and granted a residency at one of the Midwest’s most successful and longest running nightclubs called Eden. Roseth quickly took the helm at his own promotion by throwing parties with some of the world’s biggest talent including; Max Graham, Christopher Lawrence, Sandra Collins, Micro, Humpty vision, Charles Feelgood, Donald Glaude, DJ Dan, Dave Ralph, Chris Fortier, Steve Porter and more.
His presence in the Midwest scene coupled with hard work functioned as the gateway to a singularly prestigious and sought after invitation for any electronic DJ. Villo and Chris Fortier, founders of the Balance Record Pool, extended an invitation to participate in the highly prestigious DJ community. Those in the know regard the Balance Record Pool to be one of the most difficult to enter. The organization allows only 40 North American DJs at any one time to benefit by its resources. The price for monthly access to 100 world class artist and rare white label releases was simply playing, rating, and charting Dennis’s personal preferred records. After 3 years in Balance, Dennis connected with fellow Balance member and promoter Rob Lemon which enabled Roseth to join the St. Louis based DJ agency dubbed Velocitypromote. The bookings from Velocity swung nightclub doors open in Chicago, Cleveland, Arkansas, Florida, and throughout St Louis.
It was only a matter of time before Dennis teamed up future production partner Steven Lloyd. Their creative minds came together under the alias, “The Isolatorsâ€. “The Isolators†focused on combining original progressive house with wicked swirling synths and baselines only found in drum & bass. Production recognition came quick as Roseth’s 1st remix was released on DJ Smight’s Cure recordings in 2003 followed by his 2nd 2004’ remix of Pat Foosheen’s “The Unthinkable†released on institution recordings.
With everything Dennis had accomplished thus far, his mind and sole remained unfulfilled. The Midwest scene was thankless to his efforts to keep electronic music alive. A difficult decision to give up his accomplishments and network of industry experts was made when Roseth rolled the dice by pointing west to Colorado.
Roseth’s first Colorado industry introduction occurred at ROX Infusion Lounge and Moscow Underground shaking hands with Ryan Dykstra, Matthew Orloff & Bryan Matthew of the newly developed TWENTY40. This opened the door to not only continue his DJ career but to get in on the groundfloor of the newly launched record label TWENTY40. Halloween of 2005 saw the release of Dennis’ dancefloor smasher ‘Every Sin’. ‘Every Sin’ received international acclaim and was licensed for a compilation on ‘Distraekt Records’ in the UK. The release also received ‘Top Download’ status on beatport.com.
The second release from Roseth was a remix from old production mate Pat Foosheen appropriatly dubbed ‘CHI-TOWN QUEENS’. The ‘CHI-TOWN’ project was quickly signed to TWENTY40 in early February of 2006. Once again Roseth production saw international acclaim and was novel as to the incorporation of his beloved ‘drum and bass’ elements. Matthew Orloff (T40 Label A&R) describes it as, “Being kicked in the face with a steel toed work boot, Fucking brilliant!â€
