Bulletproof Babies was formed in Spring of 1991 and was the brainchild of Francis Alimorong and Ron Schroeder. After a long hard search for a vocalist Francis suggested a singer that he had played with in a previous band Fast Suzi . Ralph Majurkurth was the man. An add placed in the Illinois entertainer brought out former Vagrant guitarist Tim Ferrari, the lineup was complete. Bulletproof Babies rehearsed in Chicago at a rehearsal studio on the third floor at Broadway and Wilson, It was there they wrote and recorded their first demo and follow up ep. Bulletproof Babies played all around the Chicago area including the Gateway Theatre, The Thirsty Whale and countless other venues and into Wisconsin. 1994 saw the full length release "Rock-a-Bye". The band had sales and regular radio rotation airplay thoughtout Europe,(Denmark, Sweden, Italy,
W. Germany & Japan.
The original lineup was without a doubt the best and if this band would have stuck together would have had huge success.
Early spring 1993 saw the departure of drummer Ron Schroeder, who was replaced by Jimmy Z, who lasted for approximatly 2 shows. June 1993 Jeff Sexton replaced Jimmy Z. Tim Ferrari Departed in 1995 and the band was dissolved soon after.
Although there was label interest in the last year or so, nothing materialized and the group disbanded. Now nearly 11 years after their demise the Babies are back with Tim Ferrari an guitar, Ron Schroeder on drums, Tyler Bates on bass and ???? on vocals. You may find another myspace page for this band, as you will see it was started after this one and by the man who has for years tryed to take credit for everything while doing absolutly nothing for this band. He also has nothing to do with this band anymore. So don't be fooled.
