About Me
Mm'kay, so, I'm Stephanie. :]
Call me Steph.
I'll start with the basics:
My birthday is August 13th, Friday the 13th every 6 years I think it is, I'm not sure. That doesn't make me demonic so if you're superstitious or something, you don't have to talk to me. :]
I don't eat ANIMAL SLAUGHTER, and I'm proud of that. Veggieburgersthanks. :]
I support peace. Don't you?
The way I think, is like a book. My thoughts sound like:
'My dad is like a mind reader,' I thought. 'I wish he would flip the station to 93.5. See! Another mind reader moment! I wonder if other people think like me. I tried to explain it to mom once, that my mind is like a narrative. A biography I write as I go. But she just didn't understand.'
Idk why. I'm weird like that.
I don't do drugs, or drinking. I'd like to keep my body clean, thanks.
I love music. You'll never see me without headphones. Brand New and Say Anything currently own my soul.
I have alot of opinions that most people don't agree with. I don't shove them on you. They're mine. If you're just gonna yell at me about how horrible I am, don't ask what I feel about a subject in the first place.
I like Nick At Nite. I think TV was better in the '90's.
Paranoid Park is an amazing book, which I'm in love with atm.
This place is too dramatic. I'm not one for overreacting, unless it's just to be funny. I'd much rather live in England tbh.
I hate labels, but I admit to slipping and using them. Most of the time for lack of a better descriptor. So shoot me.
I love meeting new people, but if you're harsh, cold, unfair, or anything that I might consider negative, I don't wanna know you. I have enough negative people in my life, I don't need more harshing my mellow, haha.
I hate it when people type like they're having a seizure. I don't have time to go google every acronym you spit out or to figure out what you meant because you can't spell. Only my real friends can type like that around me, thanks.
I say hi the first time I meet someone. After that, I launch straight into whatever I wanna talk about, which usually makes no sense. Don't like it, back off, k.
I don't change for people. 'Nuff said.
I was watching the news and it was probably the first time I ever watched it and paid attention. It was really only because all the news that was on was related to catastrophe and disasters, and that caught my interest.
It's horrible, right? That I only cared because bad things were happening? Society today is obsessed with the bad. I'm just another person. It's true, I probably wouldn't have watched it if it was about someone saving another person or about a charity event. We focus so much on the negative anymore that no one sees the big picture. We harp about no one being generous anymore, as we walk by the man in a Santa suit, ringing his bell for donations, without even stopping.
I want to change that. Don't you?
Then, what I saw on the news was horrible. A woman was stabbed in a grocery store, and no one around her stopped to help. Five people stepped over her, and one person even stopped to take a picture with their phone.
I think that's messed up.
We live in a nation, in a world, that is so used to violence that when another person is hurt before our eyes, we simply turn away and continue with our shopping. Personally, I don't think getting the right kind of Doritos is nearly as important as saving a life.
I want to change this world. Don't tell me I can't, because I know that I myself can make a difference if I try. Anyone can.
My kitten, Pumpkin, means the world to me.
