Hailing from Antwerp, Belgium DJ REBEL has been rocking the Salt Lake City massive with his reggae music for the past three years. Playing a mix of roots, reggae and dancehall DJ REBEL is a guarantee for reggae vibes. Equipped with two turntables and a reggae collection he has opened for reggae acts like : Burning Spear, Buju Banton, Luciano, Barrington Levy, Culture, Yellow Man, Damian Marley, Stephen Marley, Julian Marley, Capleton, Junior Reid, Assasin, The Meditations, The Melodians, Sammy Dread, Sister Carol, Sly & Robbie, Chinna Smith, Tony Rebel, Half Pint, Israel Vibrations, The Skatalites, Pato Banton, Alpha Blondy, The Wailers, Jimmy Cliff and Toots & The Maytals.He also has shared the stage with local acts like : Afro Omega, The Body, Natural Roots, Ragga P, Da Verse, Lion Head Dub Station, Smiling Souls and touring reggae acts like Mystic Roots, Soul Medic, Lion Vibes, Wet City Rockers, RC Dub and Joseph Israel & The Jerusalem Band, Rising Lion, Dr. Israel, Jus Goodie & The River Jordan Band.Check out DJ REBEL's site Babylon Down , dedicated to promoting reggae music in Salt Lake and beyond.
