Crash

Sifting through the wrack for what still works.

About Me

There is a moment of clarity and heightened awareness when you recognize that you’ve made a mistake and you await the impact with a greedy anticipation. Some times you can erase the error, misdirect attention elsewhere, or avoid the path that you lack the skills to negotiate, but when these flaws are innate, tragic in nature, and profound in the scope of damage that must be repaired, we are mesmerized by the destruction we inflict on others, or wish them to enact upon us. This is the sort of breakage I have been living for years now, until I can’t survive without the kiss of unintended collision. I am awaiting the spectacular accident that transforms me, the crash that can not be recovered from.

My Interests

Automobiles, Photography, an Artistic approach to Life More of my photos

I'd like to meet:

People who know they are on a collision course, but have something interesting to say before the impact because they know where they are headed. People with scars, tattoos, or any other markings of the years they have weathered but not self-inflicted distractions. People that aren't looking to be reassured that their beauty will escape time, that don’t believe unique snowflakes don’t melt every day, that creativity or intelligence aren’t necessarily express escalators away from destruction. I want to hear from tiny cogs in the machine that know they aren’t cut exactly right, but don’t apologize for the grinding when the teeth should mesh. Not that being different has any value in itself, and if you strive to be different you clearly can't be, but the tools that most have are not sufficient to cope with the blur of reality. What image are you painting with that blur?
