Glace Conway ft. Kahlil Gibran "Never at Work"Nick Dollar ft. Glace Conway "Diamonds on My Neck" phenomenal success of rappers hailing from the Windy City (Chi-town) has not in the least bit surprised many of its inhabitant who are lured by that Chi-town sound. With such a broad range impact nationally and internationally, all eyes are on the Windy City. Now comes Glace , AKA Chi-town's Hopeful, making unprecedented moves in the hip-hop game by releasing several maxi-singles i.e. Man Listen, Saturday Night, In The Club, and Dollar and A Dream. If you can imagine that Chi-town stepin' sound coupled with southern beats and laced with an East Coast flow then you already know. Born to the mean streets of South side Chicago, known as "the wild hundreds", Glace brings the fundamentals of hip-hop that few artists can rival. Several producers lend a hand in making this Glace's breakthrough album such as 13 (Rehab), Arsonist (Dipset), and Heat (Mac Artist Catalogue). Tight production, clever wordplay, and thought provoking topics makes this a stellar album that is hard to dismiss in today's highly competitive market. For example on the stand-out track "Move It" Mr. Conway spits, "So much pimp in my blood you're going to hate my son". He credits a plethora of hip-hop greats such as Rakim, Tupac, Snoop, Jay-Z , Biggie, and Nas as being influential to his style and inspiring for him to achieve the same level of success. According to Glace, "the love of the hood is what prompts me to rap". "I was in the streets, rap was not a priority to me," he adds. The The older hustlers on the block were so impressed with his lyrical prowess that they took him under their wing and helped finance the cost of the studio where he was able to nurture his lyrical gift. After showing and proving he's a mainstay on the hip-hop scene Lil Kim, Shawna (DTP), Boo & Gotti (Cash Money Records), Titty Boi (DTP), Benzino (Z-No Records), the Ying Yang Twins, Lil Cease (Junior Mafia) and others have reached out to Glace to appear on tracks with them. He has also been in magazines such as XXL, Source, Holla and much more. One of his most significant achievements today is being one of the six members of Lil Kim's Beehive as well as obtaining a platinum plack for his ghost writing on her album La Bella Mafia. The Chi-town native has always been a name to reckon with long before he was being sought out by other artist and management. Now that he aligned himself with La Vie Artist Management the world awaits his first major release album titled "Amazing Glace" on Trama Corp Records.
