Musician, producer and beat maker, Sharkey, got his start as one of the preeminent DJ's on the DC scene. He's since worked and performed with such heavyweights as Eminem, The Black Eyed Peas, Rick Rubin, Everlast, Spank Rock, Jedi Mind Tricks, Kool Keith, and Wyclef Jean. As well as motion picture soundtrack credits from Adam Sandler's "Big Daddy", Vin Diesel's "Strays" and handfuls of song apperances in Rockstar and XBOX 360 video games. As a producer, Sharkey has been tapped by some of the biggest artists across genres for production work and is currently working on multiple major label releases for 2008.
Sharkey's debut album, Sharkey's Machine (Babygrande) was credited by The Washington Post as one of "The Top 10 Best Records of 2004". A hip-hop heavy, electronica, and rock-laden reflection of his diverse musicality, Sharkey's Machine features guest appearances by Cannibal Ox, The Pharcyde, Jean Grae, Grand Puba of Brand Nubian and Cherrywine (Butterfly of Grammy Award winning group Digable Planets) and features co-production by Mario Caldato Jr. (Beastie Boys) and Mickey Petralia (Beck).
Sharkey's most current album release, Monster Maker (Babygrande) was given a B+ by Entertainment Weekly and 4 out of 5 stars from Urb Magazine. Its been labeled by many as the best album of 2007 and proves Sharkey's staying quality as one of music's most ecclectic and constantly evolving artists.
