BETHANY JOY LENZ, STAR OF HIT DRAMA "ONE TREE HILL," INKS DEAL WITH EPIC RECORDS
Best known for her role as Haley James on the hit WB Network drama "One Tree Hill," Bethany Joy Lenz will make her Epic Records debut with the release of her full-length album in early 2006. Currently in the studio with producer Ron Aniello (Lifehouse, Guster, Barenaked Ladies), Lenz's yet to be titled album, will be original material.
"The moment I heard Bethany sing I knew she was the real thing. I was blown away by her vocal range and musical ability. We're all really excited to work with Bethany and I have no doubt she'll prove to the world what an amazing talent she is," says Ben Goldman, Sr. VP of Epic Records A & R.
With a career that began in musical theatre at age seven, Lenz has always considered singing her first love. As a teenager she honed her vocal skills by training with the Director of The Brooklyn College of Opera and not only plays both the guitar and piano but writes her own music as well. Deemed a triple-threat, Lenz now boasts stage credits that include collaborating wit Garry Marshall and Carole King on a new musical as well as working with director Arthur Allan Seidelman on a production of "The Outsiders."
