Havoc Fire....STorm, a skater in training since 1972, inaugural season pivot/blocker formerly of Steel Town Tank Girls, Hammer City and is currently associate proud member of the Derby Debutantes, www.gtarollergirls.com in Toronto, Ontario. Debutants have Charm, Charisma, Sex Appeal, Presence, and Confidence...we play a game called Women's Flat Track Roller Derby. I love the banked track, old school or renegade style roller derby meaning no harm, no foul as I’m an individual and not any stock player. I like to play against the powers that be because I have the niche with skating if you are looking for a good workout and want to kick a little butt while you exercise. When you truly "LOVE to ROLL," nothing feels better than sharing that love with others. I like to reunion with old school all-night skaters, roller derby flat or banked track, quads, inline and ice skating. I enjoy learning, teaching and coaching to share achievements with the team. All I can do is skate, lead by example to be a better player. I know that I have a one-up on everybody as I defied the stereotypes, the odds stacked against women being over 40 and whose dominance over her younger apponents spurred furious debates. Frankly, at the end of the day it's a dream come true and you can't put a price tag on a dream. I skate for fun, fitness and cross training. It's OFFICIAL NOW a "Registered Not-For-Profit" League! In other words Roller Derby exist only for reasons to play roller derby and from which its board members DO NOT benefit financially. As well donations/sponsorship is tax deductible for the donor :) Also the Canadian Women's Flat Track Roller Derby Association (CWRDA) It is a non profit association that gives back to it's skaters that is in it's infancy and is setting professionalism codes of conduct, higher standard with values for a real sport. It enables women to have the opportunity to learn skating skills and provide training programs for players, which will help provide a better and safer environment for female athletes to excel in the game of derby. HELL ON WHEELS takes a from-the-trenches look at the dizzying clash of athleticism, exhibitionism, egos, politics and business that is modern-era Roller Derby. Law of Karma, for every event that occurs, there will follow another event whose existence was caused by the first, and this second event will be pleasant or unpleasant according as its cause was skillful or unskillful...Some believe that true competitive sports and trash trade entertainment are NOT compatible. Handle every stressful situation like a dog. Piss on it and walk away.
