On January 8th 1982, an 8 lb. 8 oz. film fanatic was born. When his second grade classmates were asked what they wanted to be when they grew up, many answered, "a cop", "a doctor", or "a fireman". Larry Oliver answered simply, "An actor, so I can play a cop, a doctor, and a fireman". While watching popular family sitcoms and cartoons was a major part of his and most of his childhood friends' lives, Larry's favorite channel was HBO, and he had a particular taste for the hilarity of "B" movies. By middle school Larry's favorite movie was THE WRAITH (The story of a teenager who is murdered and comes back for revenge as Charlie Sheen in an all black Turbo Charged Dodge).
Larry's first taste of the film industry came at age sixteen when he did some background work for Hype Williams' BELLY, a New York gangster saga starring rappers Nas and DMX. Upon graduating high school in 2000, Larry performed live on stage for the first time as part of an improv comedy show at The Brokerage comedy club in Long Island, NY. While continuing with improv, Larry soon branched out into stand up comedy and acted in over ten comedic plays, as well as background acting for many shows and movies shot in the NY area. In the summer of 2005, Larry wrote, directed, and starred in the mafia comedy Love Connections?, a short play that premiered to sold out audiences four nights in a row.
In late 2005, Larry decided to pack up and move to Atlanta Georgia to write and work on his filmmaking career. Along with six of his closest cohorts, Larry formed SEVEN GUYITOS PRODUCTIONS. In the past year he has written and directed four short films as well as many trailers, montages, blooper reels, and other comedic gems.
