About Me

I've played in a lot of Garage combos over the years and in the 90's we (me and some freakout friends ) spinning sixties records to support our own band and other garage bands in a row of allnighters .Often these events were very explosive , that means nights were filled with fun, chaos, paranoia, hysteria and a good portion of Psycho Terror , which causes real physical Terror and often I find myself within a storm of trouble and fights . Sometimes we created a schizophrenic atmosphere of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hide , the air was filled by dangerous energies , we were awake day and night or it's better to say at these days there was no difference between days and nights . But the positive aspects were the extension of the doors of perception following by a mass of artistic creativity and music was the key to katalise all these memories. That is the background where the name Nik Terror comes from and so it's my artist name . The whole story begins when me and some school mates started to cover garage tunes From the Back From The Grave Series and Pebbles stuff. At that time we called ourselves the No Counts and we were playing a lot of rock contests before we had chances to play with such U.S garage punk rockers like the Mummys or The Gories . This was all happening in Berlin and some places around .After two years playing we became a steady garage punk band but at the same time half of the band was on the way to decay because ...... but that's a complex story. Several changes of the members and musical differences lead me to an idea of an own band . 2000 Nik Terror's Sundowners were born. Gallows Bird is an early Sundowners recording (2002 ) featuring my older brother Joe on lead guitar and background vocals (ex Vampires , now with The Blowups ),Niko Suntken on drums and Markus(Vampires) on bass . Myself handled the lead vocals, composing and rhythm guitar . In 2004 we won a battle of bands and and we had the chance for professional studio recordings for free and the result was A Face In The Crowd / Superbitch featuring my younger brother Robert (ex Liquid Visions) on lead guitar , Tommy Love on drums (he was playing in a lot of bands , now he has his own band Tommy Love Machine) and San Diego Rob (Fezwrecker) on bass and background vocals ( he played in a lot of bands too and organized the last Tour of the Californian Sixties Legend BONNIWELL MUSIC MACHINE in 2003 , and played bass there too ) . Multi talented guy Lenny (Ars Vivo) is not featuring on these recordings but we also played together with the Sundowners ( he played bass there ) and he played the lead guitar on the last MUSIC MACHINE Tour and now he's playing the lead guitar for the legendary FUZZTONES . At the end of March we're goin into the studio for new recordings !Yeah the new recordings are ready but only the roughmixes , the titles are programmatic for these dark melancholy tunes :Six Feet Underground ,Dead Cold Dear and I Hear You Crying , all songs are featuring Fez Wrecker on Bass , Tommie Love on Drums and for the first time Lenny (Ars Vivo ) who does all the guitar work and myself concentrate only on singing and writing. It was a great recording session and i hope you enjoy these tunes . Although the masters are not ready you can listen to the rough mix of Dead Cold Dear cause it's my favourite tune at the moment , the lyrics are inspired by a poet from the 19 Th century ,the most famous english romantic literary man besides Lord Byron , Percy Bysshe Shelley, whose wife had written Frankenstein .... and I follow the bier (an old forgotten word , in German Bahre) of my dead cold dear .... these are the key words
