We are always looking (locally or internationally) for fresh new voices coming to the table with a positive message…we are looking for those that are looking to heal their brother man thru the music…not tell them to go out and get a 38 and don’t trust anyone…Sons and Daughters of H.I.M. could a never get down like that.

95% of the material we spin is original vinyl records…

(Yes, we still press records…and yes, people on the radio still play records too.)
Every week R.U. IRIE presents a nationally syndicated reggae news program out of Miami, Florida called “Reggae Vibes†hosted by Lance O’…reporting the latest happenings in the Jamaican music scene as well as island politics. REGGAE VIBES also offers up the top ten in (7 inch) record sales for the week.
This show R.U. IRIE as we call it has never been about the people behind the mic…the show is about empowering a suppressed people…
Empowering these people with facts about who we are as a people…
(The island of Jamaica may be a third world country economically but we should never let those in power treat the have-nots like a third rate people!)
Every week we let it be known that the literal illiteracy in the government has been going on far to long…
WHAT RED ROSE & THE R.U. IRIE FAMILY WANT YOU TO TAKE AWAY FROM THE SHOW?
At the end of the show you may not remember Red Rose’s name… But he does not really care about that You may not remember what artist sang what song…He does not care about that either. At the end of the show YOU WILL REMBER the cornerstone that the show was built upon. Peace, Love & Overstanding And the fact that we as Rastafarians not just believe but KNOW that LOVE can conquer all.
Hopefully people will grasp what’s really going on in their world… Through the music we try to reveal many of these things in hopes that people will start to do the works themselves and reveal many of these same things to the rest of society.
We are here to prove to a people that they are the greatest people put pon God’s earth. These same people had been taught for hundreds of years that they were worth nothing, that they should not have thoughts, just to submit, that they were here to be bought and sold…But, remember before all that we were great kings
Through the music we are here to TEACH people who came from where…who were the richest peoples in the entire world at one time.
We are here to give hope to the hopeless first though the music and at the root thru the teachings of RASTAFARI
We are here to clarify and rectify the fact that much of what people here on the radio and call it reggae is NOT …that’s dancehall…comes from the same place…but comes from different places in your body.
The new computerized songs that talk about how much sex the artist is having, or how big their gun is…NOT REGGAE…that’s Dancehall…The songs that talk about how bad we have it in society and it is only getting worse Rasta…That is REGGAE
