I was born in a van down by the Tennessee river. At the age of three I was taken from my mother by some traveling gypsy, carnival, cicus, fairgroungs people. The carney folk made me do all kinds of odd jobs. I had to feed the animals, then clean their cages. I had to fix rides that were broken, run games that were rigged, and make lots and lots of food. Corn dogs, hot dogs,
cottoncandy, snowcones, and funnel cakes. I didn't get much sleep cause I was always working. Then when I seven years old they let me start playing drums with the house band. Anyway we were called the Happy Hobos. There was Ramblin' Rodger on vocals, Cool Catfish Leeroi Meadows on sax, Driftin' Dan on bass, and Blind Little Mississippi Mojo Hobo Fred Mc Jenkins on slide guitar. Peolpe came from miles around just to hear that Hobo sound.
When I was twenty Mississippi and I were working on this ride caled the Gravitron. The Gravitron spins on it axis at a very high rate of speed. Well ole Mississippi got his arm caught in the door of that thing, and he started wildly spinin' with it. It just kept going faster, and faster, until smoke and fire began to creep from underneath the deadly ride. Befor long the whole fair was set a flame and chaos was among us all. When it was all over the carnival was out of buisness and I was on my own. Mississippi gave me his ten dollar guitar and I hopped a slow train to Savannah Georgia. Once there I got a job at Vinni Van Go Gos pizza joint and joined a band called Pinball Sex Machine. When that was over I hitched a ride to Auburn Alabama. I was a five dollar man with a ten dollar guitar and all i had was a back pack full of beer. I got a job playing drums for a band called tha Quadrajets and that was fun. Then I went to Europe, Japan, and Australia with the Immortal Lee County Killers. This past year I played some shows with Jose Gonzalez and that was great. Now I have recorded my first solo album and with a little help from a good label I can get back on the road.
