Thank you Lord for another BLESSED year!!!!

About Me

Hey everyone, I thought it was about time to change the about me section since I am no longer "new" to the Bay Area. June makes it officially one year since I packed up the Altima, left Nashville, and headed for Oakland, CA. This past year has definitely been a learning experience. The Bay area is different but I like it. I will eventually move back to the South but not for a couple of years. The money is good and the people aren't that bad, so I will stay for a while. The only thing is I do miss my friends & family back in Tennessee. Anytime I meet someone at the hospital that is from the South I feel like I found a long lost cousin or friend.LOL Oh yeah, I miss those hot & humid summer days (Cali folks 80 degrees is NOT hot) but what can I say I am still a country girl at heart. If you had asked me 5 years ago where I would be at today, there is no way that I would have guessed where I would be and what would be going on in my life but I am glad that things have happened the way that they did. I realize that I am truly blessed, so I definitely CAN'T COMPLAIN!!! and

Heroes:

My Mom, Brenda Jean Harris, ALWAYS has been and ALWAYS will be my hero. This is a woman who knew cancer would eventually take her life but through all the pain and suffering she never complained, she just continued to praise God and give him glory. She devoted every fiber of her being to making sure that her children were taken care of. Even as she laid on her death bed she was more concerned about what would happen to us than what was going on with her. There are no words to describe my mother because great, magnificent, incredible, awesome, phenomenal, excellent, astounding, superb, wonderful, marvelous, fantastic, amazing, and stupendous is what she was on her WORST day but I will say this, if I can be 1/10 of the woman that she was then I am truly blessed.
