About Me

Labels labels labels LABELS!
STUDENT: Just graduated from MSUM and will be attending UCR this fall to work towards a PhD. My hopeful career is teaching in a related field to political science or working in a government agency like the EPA, wish me luck!
GUITARIST/MUSIC LOVER! I've been in Kentucky Sound Arsenal since 2000. I want music to remain my passion, not my job! James and I have played some pretty far out places (Vegas, Seattle, etc) and have written a lot of diverse music, we are proud of these facts. We aspire to be like great bands such as Straphanger and the Bismarck who do what they love without label support, just for the pure love of it. I love hearing new music and talking about old favs. I also record bands & run live sound through rapassassin records (lil DIY thing, not a label).
MOVIE ENTHUSIAST: I love love love classic movies. A classic is not just an "old" movie, but a movie that leaves frames, scenes, characters, moments & music in your mind for years after. As in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Buffalo '66, Pulp Fiction, My Left Foot, American Beauty, A Streetcar Named Desire . . .the list never ends.
BIKER: My "2 wheel freedom machine" of choice is the Redline bmx I've had since the age of 14. Read my poem about it, no really, I wrote a poem about my bike. Lame? Who cares. I don't. Thats another thing . . .
POET/ARTIST Poetry, I know its cool to hate the stuff. To some its pretentious in its creation or just plain ridiculous. To me its just another way to create and communicate; like: a song, a drawing, a movie, a play, etc. . . .I love art in every form.
OTHER I don't drink, never have never will. It's just a personal decision I made awhile back (after seeing it destroy some great lives/people) that has suited me well thus far. This is rare in my parts (5th drunkest city in the nation) so I feel it's worth noting. I have firm beliefs yet try to see the other side. You have to know the other side so you can debate it effectively and intelligently. I like playing pool. I love swimming (pools, lakes, oceans) and warm weather. I hate the cold climate which is the reason I am going to give California a try while I further my education.
