Rey Santiago started his career in 2002 as a DJ/Producer in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Within just a couple of years, he developed into one of the island’s most skilled selectors, sharing the bill with and warming up for the likes of The Prodigy, Mauro Picotto and Tiesto (with 10,000+ in attendance) during their headlining performances in Puerto Rico. Intent on playing the world stage, Rey soon gained notoriety in Buenos Aires during a tour that took him to play in several clubs and the InStereo Music Fest, which he headlined. His music has also reached the masses via FM Beat 90.5, as well as Metro 95.1, where Rey’s original production “Friday Punch†received airplay on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sequential broadcast. Rey’s mixes have also been heard on internet electronic music stations in Buenos Aires like www.adnmanager.com.ar and www.fmbeat.com.ar. During the Summer of 2008, Rey Santiago’s “Friday Punch†tune was picked up by New York City’s Digiprana Records for an upcoming winter EP release. Since then, Rey has moved to New York to handle label promotions for Digiprana as well as contribute a monthly guest mix to the label’s FM radio show and podcast. So, what comes next?
