Nicoloro Photography Promo Clip
I am a Los Angeles native and UCLA graduate with a BA in Theatre; I am a self-taught camera artist. In the late 80’s I began my interest in Photography, with a second-hand Nikon, during a world perspective-changing trip to India. In March 2007 I spent a week on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with a volunteer team rebuilding homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The experience was truly amazing. Not only did our team help Miss Lilly get into her new home sooner, working side by side with my team to help someone we did not know was a gift in itself. I am going back in April 2008.I launched my first photo business, Silly Goose Photography, in 2000. Silly Goose specializes in Children and Family photography. My work has been featured in several magazines including Contexts, a magazine of the Sociology Association of America, as well as exclusively featured on the last page of Frontiers Magazine, aptly titled the “Parting Shotâ€. I have back to back First Prize ribbons (2004-2005) in the New Photography exhibition at the LA CO Fair.In 2005, I was one of three photographers chosen to participate in “Latino Artists of Los Angeles†at the Millard Sheets Gallery, presented by the Smithsonian Institution Affiliation Programs.I made my solo gallery debut in 2005 at the Risk Press Gallery in West Hollywood. This collection, “Devotionâ€, consisted of double exposures and soft focus color abstracts, was the theme of the show.I most recently exhibited a new collection of color abstracts "there's something in my eye" at The ArcLight Theater in Hollywood, June 2007.I've also taught Creative Photography for Personal Growth at one day seminar at The Village in Hollywood.I love shooting with both film and digital. My photo-art explores the techniques of double exposure, blur and swirl, creating images entirely in the camera and printed on fine art textured watercolor paper.Celebrating the beauty of everyday life. Thanks for being here.PROMO CLIP made by [email protected]
