Chris Brawley began playing music at the age of 10. He initially began playing guitar, 3 years later he picked up a pair of drum sticks. He was heavily influenced by anything and everything he listened to. As a young drummer some of his idols were Josh Freese, Mitch Mitchell, Art Blakey, and John Bonham. Chris played drums in the concert and jazz bands through middle school, high school, and into college. His first private drum instructor was Mike Johnston, he later studied jazz with Rick Lotter, and Tim Metz. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Studies, Chris is constantly pushing his drumming further, as well as his teaching methods.
Chris has experience recording and performing with several artists over the years. Playing in various genres from Math Rock, Jazz, all the way to Country Music.
His most recent project, ambient rock band "Broken Iris" has gained International exposure,
Sharing the stage with The Dave Matthews Band, and Blind Melon.
Chris began private drum instruction at the age of 18. Soon he realized his passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge with others. 3 years later he joined the Drum Lab Staff a couple months after its grand opening. Chris creates a very unique, comfortable and motivating learning environment. He pushes for individualism, technique, musicality, and most of all,
