Baruch Ashlag (also known as RABASH) (1907 - 1991) a Kabbalist who continued the evolution of Kabbalah after his father, Yehuda Ashlag (also known as Baal HaSulam). Born in Poland in 1907, he came with his father to Israel at the age of fifteen. He spent his entire life following in the footsteps of his father and advancing in the study of Kabbalah. He was very knowledgeable in Torah and Talmud, but he never served as a rabbi. He always worked simple jobs: construction worker, road works, a shoemaker, or a clerk. When his father died, Baruch Ashlag took his place as teacher and continued his work. He published The Zohar with his fathers commentaries as well as several other books.Rabash followed in the footsteps of his father. His five books of articles Schlavey Hasulam (The Rungs of the Ladder), expressed all the inner situations of a person who is on the way for the attainment of the upper worlds. He also left a manuscript of talks he had heard from his father, which he titled Shamati (I Heard). This book is the basis for all the situations in the upper worlds and their many combinations, which affect the soul of one who aspires to attain them. After Rabash's death, a group was established, carrying his nameBnei Baruch (lit. The Sons of Baruch)that continues to study in the way he paved.
