Endometriosis is a painful, chronic disease that affects 5 1/2 million women and girls in the USA and Canada, and millions more worldwide. I happen when the tissue that lines the uterus forms on the outside wall. The tissue outside can be found on the fallopin tubes, cervix, rectum area, uterus, ovaries, and liagments.
Then misplaced tissue develops into growths or lesions which respond to the menstrual cycle in the same way that the tissue of the uterine lining does: each month the tissue builds up, breaks down, and sheds. Since the menstrual tissue forms in the body it can't leave during the monthly cycle.Do to this I cause internal bleeding; the tissue breaks down from lesions and causes inflammation. All this can cause many things: pain, scar tissue, adhesion, and even bowel problems. In some cases I can cause infertility.
My symptoms are:
before/during/after menstruation
during ovulation
in the bowel during menstruation
when passing urine
during or after sexual intercourse
in the lower back region
Other Things I can cause:
diarrhoea or constipation (in particular in connection with menstruation)
abdominal bloating (again, in connection with menstruation)
heavy or irregular bleeding
fatigue
Also 30-40% that have me become sterile or infertile.
Since the cause of me isn't fully known there is no cure yet to this date. However there is treatments depending on womens need, age, condtion, etc.

I created this site on myspace to bring more awareness to Endometriosis. Also I was diagnosed with the disease my senior in High School and it actually fused my intestines to my right ovary. When I found my doctor didn't give me any information on what it was, expect that there was no cure. After the shock phase went I became reading books, joining groups (yahoo has one: Yahoo Groups: Endometriosis ), suffering the net (at the bottom I have sites I've found useful), etc. Basically I took matters into my own hands, which through my discoveries I was shocked to found out how many women had to do the same. So today, I ask you to use my site here to pass knowledge on to help others and use it as support network of information.Thanks
