Delicious Orange - a fun loving rock band from Turku, Finland. Sound familiar? That’s OK, we also sing in Japanese. As for the cake beneath the cherry, our music is actually good rockin’ without any odd fancy gimmicks. One might hear musical influences from such bands as Weezer and Dinosaur Jr.; The origin of our tendency for Japanese lyrics can be found in the pillows. Regardless, our sound is our own, and the members’ musical backgrounds are very vivid and different. Most of all we are brought together by the sheer joy of playing music, and that energy conveys over to our audience.
Our debut release, the EP-sized "Respect Monkey Hello" is due release on March 26th 2008. Comprising of five songs, the record is a tight collection of the three-year-old band’s older and newer songs, and neatly captures the essence of the band in between the covers. The songs feature the joy of experiencing new things, the fresh band getting used to playing together, megalomanic visions without the ability to carry them out, as well as the iron certainty of experience.
Altogether Delicious Orange is a young, eager band, and our energy for this thing we do isn’t running out.
