William and Hillary Clinton, Julie Taymor, Kevin Spacey, Tony Shalub, Traylor Howard, Alexis Bledel, you for drinks and conversation, anyone not close-minded, prejudiced, or violent.
I like many different styles of music - I am not a huge fan of Country Music or Rap/R&B, but I will tolerate some, usually in small doses. My favorite styles are Hard Rock, Alternative Rock/Punk Rock. Bands I really like include Within Temptation, Nickelback, Greenday, All-American Rejects, Evanescence, and Shinedown.
I like many different types of movies. Some favs are The 40 year old virgin, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Wild Hogs, Stranger than Fiction, Harry Potter...you know, the list is really too long...
Well, I haven't watched the Food Network for some time now...I really should spend some more freetime updating this stuff! Anyway, when I have the time for TV, passions in Television include C-SPAN networks (gotta get my political on, even though neo-cons really piss me off!), Little People, Big World (you gotta have some reality in your life, right? Besides, the Roloff's just rock!),Monk (that Tony Shalub - what an actor - and Traylor Howard - need I say more ;-) ), NCIS, The Unit, CSI, and the news (local and world).
I have read a ton of fiction - from all facets, and I truly like them all. Standout favs include the David Eddings epic series of fantasy books, DaVinci Code by Dan Brown, Wicked by Gregory Maguire, and Medusa's Child by John Nance. I have a few favorite plays that I should include on the list - Angels in America by Tony Kushner, Metamorphoses by Mary Zimmerman, Bus Stop by William Inge, among others. I recently read A Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, and I gotta say, I really found it thought provoking.
Anyone and everyone, everywhere, that goes beyond themselves to help someone else in need. That, to me, is the greatest thing a human can do.
