About Me

I can blow bubbles off my tongue. I move to places and then move away to other places. But I think I finally found a place to call home. Portland and The Independent Publishing Resource Center fill me with a great sense of gratitude, hope, connectedness and inspiration. My job duties as director include teaching zine-making to teenagers, grant writing, supervising a great group of creative volunteers, laughing at Nicole George's jokes and faux-southern accent, riding the streetcar to the postoffice, taking out the garbage, writing new curriculums, fixing the copier, meeting incredible people, reading zines, thinking up ideas and stuff, restoring a vintage cigarette machine (soon to be the zine-o-matic), skate breaks at Burnside, going to readings, checking email, etc. In general keeping in touch with folks makes me happy but I'm not always so good at it.
