My Interests

Reading, movies, being with my family, and the law.
As you can probably tell, I am a lawyer. I also happen to be workaholic. As a representative of clients, I perform various functions. As adviser, I provide a client with an informed understanding of their legal rights and obligations and explain the practical implications. As an advocate, I zealously assert my client's position under the rules of the adversary system. As a negotiator, I seek results advantageous to the client but consistent with requirements of honest dealing with others. As an intermediary between clients, I seek to reconcile their divergent interests as an adviser and, to a limited extent, as a spokesperson for each client. I act in each case as an evaluator by examining a client's legal affairs and reporting about them to the client or to others.
In other words, I am going to do everything I can within the confines of legal ethics to ensure that my client gets a fair and just result.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone and everyone.

Music:

My taste is extremely varied. I tend to lean pretty heavily toward the classic rock. If I had to throw some artists out there, I'd have to say Warren Zevon, Don Henley, The Eagles, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Kid Rock, Sinatra, Vanilla Ice, David Bowie, The Beastie Boys, ACDC, Guns & Roses, Jethro Tull, Queen, Pink Floyd, and Bruce Springsteen
"Old Billy was right, let's kill all the lawyers, let's kill them tonight." Don Henley
"I went home with the waitress The way I always do How was I to know She was with the Russians, too
I was gambling in Havana I took a little risk Send lawyers, guns and money Dad, get me out of this, ha" Warren Zevon
"Anything less than the best is a felony."
"You may be right, I may be crazy But it just may be a lunatic you're looking for." Billy Joel

Movies:

Godfather I and II, Apocolypse Now, Better Off Dead, Say Anything, Old School, Animal House, PCU
"Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." The Godfather
"Words of wisdom: Drop that zero and get with the hero." Cool as Ice
"Who's the more foolish: The fool, or the fool who follows him?"
"Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son." Animal House
"Everyone gets everything he wants. I wanted a mission, and for my sins, they gave me one. Brought it up to me like room service. It was a real choice mission, and when it was over, I never wanted another."

Television:

Scrubs, The West Wing, The Sopranos, Entourage, My Name is Earl, Studio 60, 30 Rock

Books:

To Kill a Mockingbird, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Busting Vegas, Bringing Down the House, The Catcher in the Rye, The Gold Coast, The Kite Runner
"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do." To Kill a Mockingbird
"The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers." Henry VI.

Heroes:

My grandfather, my father, and anyone who has served our country in times of war and peace.
