(Lyriks Bio)Some know him as “A”, the ladies know him as “Andrew”, but slowly he has been introduced to the music world as “Lyriks”. Lyriks founded L7 Records in 2001 as a freshman in high school while developing himself as an artist, songwriter, and also an audio engineer. After graduating high school, Lyriks moved to Durham NC where he became a regular on Duke University’s College Radio Station WXDU 88.7, as well as performing at venues throughout the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and Garner areas.Lyriks began impressing others by recording, mixing, and mastering his own vocals, which he had always done, as well as other surrounding artist. Lyriks began working with almost all the known local talent in Durham such as Phocuz, Priceless, Young G.O.D.Z, O.Z., Kwest, J Roosevelt and a list of others.In early 2008, Lyriks became a member of “NC’s Rat Pack,” which released “First Impressions” mixtape in March 2008 which featured DJ Paradime . After the group decided to go separate ways, Lyriks released his debut mixtape “His Name Is Lyriks “on 10.31.08 which was a total of nineteen original songs with few features. While promoting “His Name Is Lyriks,” a month later, Lyriks released a local/industry mixtape “The Pills Have Eyes” which was hosted by Lyriks and Bishop Omega of 88.7 and featured DJ Delicious of Club Aurora located on North Carolina State University’s Campus. After years of developing, maturing, and becoming more business savvy, Lyriks decided to change his companies name and in January 2009 L7 records became “High Society Music Group.” Soon after, Lyriks reached out to a long time friend by the name of J R “Young Banks” Spencer for help, and after being highly impressed with his business sense, J.R. was asked to become Lyriks’s manager.Lyriks has also reached out to industry experts for assistance as well.
