Well the band Avidian was formed in early 2000 & has had several members come & go many of the reason being unmotivated musicians. Founder of the Band Myself (josh) linked up with bass player Roger Stockton of Santa Rosa & Drummer Jearmy Bess from Santa Rosa.We practiced twice a day for about 6 months to record & play several dates in our area & outside it as well. before the three of us were linked up the band had gone through many members before finding the right mix of personality & creative ideas leading the band to the studio in 2002 to record the EP counsisting of 5 origonal songs, Think It Over, Through The Mirror , Perfect Place, Stand Up & Set To Waste. The Recording Proccess was a Painstaking experiance!! Three months, long days, long nights, & clashing creative idea's left us scratching our heads over the simplest of solutions!! The studio we used(Bridges Productions) Was an Incredible studio to say the least!! The owner/ingeneer I worked with to produce this EP had Some idea's also, so we went back & fourth until we both new it was the right button to push. Shortly after the recording were finished(well almost finished) & all of our money was gone we decided to make & sell some tee shirts, stickers & of course cd's. over about a year we did fairly well , we played a bunch of local dates and traveled to other venue's as well. After time Roger & I noticed our drummer(Jearmy wasn't really with the program anymore & he had decided that it was best for him to move to New York City, so he did & we replaced him with a good friend of mine & Roger's . Rob Carrero,Rob is the new drummer for avidian, Robs , well Robs just Rob & thats the best way to excplain him. Believe me there's so much I'm leaving out But Who really has time to read Band drama , We all know that bands are like bad realationships so lets just leave those parts out !!:) As of 2007 Avidian/josh which is me lives in Los Angeles, I haven't found another band to work with yet nor have I had time to put one together,but I have been busy doing radio show's & internet interviews about the band avidian & the music video for perfect place. eventually I'm going to put another band together, but in the mean time i'll be playin live acoustic gigs to keep the mojo alive!!! also check in regularly for added tracks & acoustic news!!! thanks joshua smith/the band Avidian. .....
