The Joneses

About Me

The Joneses, pronounced "The Joan-ziz", formed in December of 2005, and are comprised of four seasoned and professional musicians, each having years of experience in and around the regional and local Fort Wayne music scene. TOMMY, an accomplished lead guitar player with unbelievable licks, drives the band which covers current college alternative chart-toppers along with 90's rock and 80's dance music. The band was complete with the addition of ZIg on bass guitar and vocals in July of 2006, and Scott "SCOOTER" on drums in March of 2007. Fronting the band with sweet rhythm guitar work is the newest member, JASON, joining in March of 2009. The band is packed with four seasoned musicians with each having over 20 plus years of musical experience, and a fresh attitude to shake up the Fort Wayne music scene once again. The band traveled in Europe during the Fall of 2007 for a 12 day gig schedule, and each member of The Joneses have awesome stories and experiences of being opening acts for national performers, such as the 80's super-group Loverboy. What makes the band unique is their reputation for playing and sounding identical to the albums of the bands they cover, note for note, along with the overall musicianship and stage banter that each member displays during a show. If you want to hear and witness a high-energy cover band that plays "cutting-edge" modern college tunes with some 80's and 90's tossed in, that also actually sounds like the original performers, then TOMMY, ZIg, SCOOTER and JASON of The Joneses are your ticket!

Band Members: TOMMY - lead guitar, vocals:::. ZIG - bass guitar, vocals::. SCOOTER - drums:::. JASON - lead vocals, guitar, keyboards
Influences: Each member of The Joneses has been influenced by different styles and performers over the years, but one thing that the boys of The Joneses have in common is a true appreciation for great musicianship and song writing abilities. Many performers from the 60's, 70's, 80's and up through today have had positive impacts on the band members, especially many of the newer bands that have returned to more of a rooted rock and roll style of music. Blues, jazz, southern rock, country, rock, punk, metal are a few styles that cannot be dismissed either, as each of them have their place in being a musical influence on The Joneses.
