About Me
Under the moniker VJ "MOTiF" I perform live video mixing with original content for music performances, art installations, fashion shows; anyplace with a projector. Recently I have collaborated with visual artist Amy Slonaker to create "Hadron Collider," A brand of visual performance that incorporates classic analog techniques with digital processing. This ain't yer pappies psychedelia! I have performed at Luna Lounge, Galapagos Art Space, Pianos, Downtime, Sputnik, monkeytown, Industry(food), The Knitting Factory, Hiro Ballroom, The Slipper Room, Cakeshop, and there's more to come. I have worked with many NY bands in all genres and have collaborated with fashion designers, visual artists and performers of all kinds. As a production designer/art director/scenic designer, I have built sets and prop elements for The Who, Gnarls Barkley, Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode, Jem, Radio 4, Adria Petty Designs, Ridley Scott's Black Dog Films, Polo Ralph Lauren, MTV, Ebay, MSN, Hornet Inc., Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the broadway productions of Lestat, and Martin Short's Fame Becomes Me. As an editor I have worked on projects for Freshkills (skater video), The Sol Film Festival, Tyson Hall (actor who has appeared on Oz, and The Wire), G.E. (you know, the guys that own NBC), and a quantity of low-profile work; weddings, special events, etc. I also write, shoot, and direct my own original narrative and experimental works.
