So much, this world that God made rocks! Except for the sin and death part, of course, but that wasn't His original plan, but anyway...Handball, baseball, football are my favorite sports. Music, all kinds except rap and heavy metal. I love to listen to it and play it. I have a degree of proficiency with the guitar, piano, and harmonica, but y'know, everybody know how to play those ones. I like to sing, can't vouch for those around me. I like to draw and paint, but I never really do it. I love all science, it is all fascinating. Astronomy, Nanotechnology, Bionics, Physics (just theoretical, I am not smart enough to do the math parts), Zoology, Botany, Genetics, Neurology, Chemistry, Archaeology, Anthropology, Paleontology, Geology, it is all so good. Sometimes I think I should have been a scientist, but I could never have chosen one single science to do. So now I run into burning buildings. Yahoo! Oh, and sweep floors...
Jesus. the central figure of history. The Son of God, the Son of Man. So important yet, though we have all the information we need to know the truth to the extent that God know we need to know it, there is still so much more clouded in darkness, covered over by time, that I would love to know. We all know about Jeses preaching, and casting out demons, and healing the sick and raising the dead, and going to the cross and rising from the grave, but what was he like on the many night he spent along with the disciples, in the wildernesses between towns, or talking privately at the home of a person who believed in him? How fortunate were those men, who could ask their question of God, face to face with His son, and could have their answer. There are so many things I would like to ask...Guess I will have to wait til I see him in Heaven, but it is not always easy to wait :)
All kinds, mostly anything by a person or group that is truly genuine, even if they are not good. Old Bob dylan was probably my favorite, when it was just he and his guitar and harmonica and that was it, no crazy elaborate producing and dubbing and mixing to cover the faults and airbrush the defects (I don't like the phony aspects of our culture). So, lots of folk. Also classical, and anything else that is melodious and skillful, whether it is rock and roll or jazz or the wierd trance-like stuff I hear on the college radio station.
Passion of the Christ, Gladiator, Band of Brothers, Monty Pythons Holy Grail and Life of Brian, Ace Ventura, Star Wars, Last of the Mohicans, Legends of the Fall, Transformers Movie, lots of other silly stuff I'm sure.
Yankee game, thats it.
Bible, books about the bible, history and science books, and now books about firefighting. I am not really into fiction, although when I was younger I read the Dragonlance series, and I thought they rocked, especially the two trilogies, Chronicles, and Legends. And the Huma book was good.
Jesus,my father, and my wife. Jesus you probably heard something about, my dad, probably not so much. My dad is the worlds most awesome man. He is one of nine siblings, and his dad died when he was 15. He worked very hard since then and is now a Chief in the FDNY. He always taught us to do the right thing, work hard, don't procrastinate, stay on top of things, get everything squared away when you can, don't leave loose ends hanging. He loved our mother very much, and held her in highest esteem. He was always on top of us to keep us out of trouble, and wanted so much for us in life. Now that we're all firemen, and one of my brothers works in my dads old house, and I work next to the house where he was a Lietenant, we hear from those that new him the he was great, sharp, and and man of character. A had worker and a great fireman, and a stand-up guy. I love him and he's the best. for my wife, scroll waaaaaaaaaaaaay up to the top. Thank you, bye bye.
