OilCan Drive T-Shirts are available NOW! ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------On May 22, 2021, the Wishart Tragedy turned a once great nations fertile heartland into a sea of dust and desert.
Only the thriving coastlines were spared the disaster and refugees from the wastelands began migrating towards these beacons of hope.
Other survivalists chose to remain in the wastelands. They developed into small tribes that weathered the radiation and fallout that, over the decades, changed the land and the people in very strange ways. Animals not seen in years began to resurface in this bizarre new world and those who remained, in later generations, could hardly be called human.
In the cities life prospered for decades until overpopulation and lack of real estate forced the countrys leaders to adopt new, stricter policies. Household pets were outlawed for fear of disease and contamination. Jobs, once abundant, were lost due to downsizing and a generation of people were put on the streets with no place to call their own.
Having no choice, this lost generation was forced to move back into the wastelands. Looking nothing like its former inhabitants had left it, this new land was the worlds last frontier, filled with terrible and wonderful new life and dangers. Small towns and cities started to crop up and what can only be called The New West had begun.
Much like the west of old, outpost towns were rough and tumble places with, at best, a shaky system of law in place. The government, recognizing a need to keep order, formed the Environmental Military Forces, an army that all citizens above the age of eighteen were required to serve through a system of drafts. As with drafts of old, some citizens refused this duty and fled into the wastelands to adopt new lives. It was a place where a person could easily get lost.
--It is in this place that we find four young people--
--All on the run for their own reasons--
--Traveling through the wastelands in a stolen airship--
--In what can only be described as an outlaw punk band--
--Just trying to survive--
--And make their way to the next gig--
