In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act

About Me

How can i describe myself.. well individualistic for one, I like responsibilities and refuse to be taken care of. Fundamentally, I feel free enough, strong enough to be able to exist by myself. I am however a total idealist and in love with the idea of love.
I'm nevertheless sufficiently conscious of my ability to control my chances of success. An emotive person, I don't allow myself to be downhearted in the wake of lifes struggles and baracades, this moment in my life is about making a new start hence believing the phoenix as a meaningful metaphor to my life. Religion is a man made ideal that brings no further meaning to my life, and I see it cause way more harm than good.
Music, Art and Film are my passions. Im the creative and determined type that desires to remove the constraints imposed on most artists. I believe everything artistic should have a deeper meaning, and symbolize something greater than the materialistic and plastic way of life the media has shoved down our throats for too long. I love work that has a lot of intelligence behind it, whether it be an original and beautifully performed song, an amazingly written and shot film, or an abstract and unique painting. Also, I have the humanitarian outlook in which i insist these things can be used to change our world and of course the people within it.
I love life, I have amazing friends and the few that I keep really close have all changed my life which leaves me forever grateful.

Heroes:

"Movies are truly a form of therapy and work on your subconscious in the way fairy tales were meant to." Tim Burton
"The dignity of the artist lies in his duty of keeping awake the sense of wonder in the world. In this long vigil he often has to vary his methods of stimulation; but in this long vigil he is also himself striving against a continual tendency to sleep." Marc Chagall
"Political language ... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind." George Orwell
"Being an intellectual creates a lot of questions and no answers. You can fill your life up with ideas and still go home lonely. All you really have that really matters are feelings. That's what music is to me." Janis Joplin
"It's just a ride and we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money, a choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your door, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one" Bill Hicks
"You have to systematically create confusion, it sets creativity free. Everything that is contradictory creates life." Salvador Dali
"At different moments you see with different eyes. You see differently in the morning than you do in the evening. In addition, how you see is also dependent on your emotional state. Because of this, a motif can be seen in many different ways, and this is what makes art interesting." Edvard Munch
"It's very common for the victims to understand a system better than the people who are holding the stick." Noam Chomsky
"I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day." Vincent Van Gogh
"I don't think they can deal with someone being complex and contradictory; it's not acceptable, you have to be a cartoon, a stereotype" Shirley Manson
"Don't care what people say. Don't give a damn about their laws." Edith Piaf
"We should just get somebody from the left and the right and they should all throw bumper stickers at each other and the first one to cover the other one wins." David Cross
"Religion convinced the world that there's an invisible man in the sky who watches everything you do. And there's 10 things he doesn't want you to do or else you'll go to a burning place with a lake of fire until the end of eternity. But he loves you! ...And he needs money! He's all powerful, but he can't handle money!" George Carlin
"This morning, prompted by increasing concerns about terrorism, oil prices reached a record high as the cost of a barrel of crude is a whopping $44.34. Wow, it seems shocking that a product of finite supply gets more expensive the more we use it. Now the terror alert means higher oil prices, which oddly enough means higher profits for oil companies giving them more money to give to politicians whose policies may favor the oil companies such as raising the terror alert level. As Simba once told us: "It's the circle of life." Jon Stewart
"It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder." Albert Einstein
"No weapon has ever settled a moral problem. It can impose a solution but it cannot guarantee it to be a just one." Ernest Hemingway
"The statesmen will invent cheap lies, putting the blame upon the nation that is being attacked, and every man will be glad of these conscience-soothing falsities." Mark Twain
"We have guided missiles and misguided men." Martin Luther King, Jr
“A thing is not necessarily true because a man dies for it.” Oscar Wilde
