This page showcases the written and spoken words of the Colombian storyteller Julián Esteban Torres López.
Born in Medellin, Colombia (South America). I have a B.A. in both Philosophy and Communication, a M.A. in Justice Studies. I am the Editor-in-Chief of The WRIToracle and Project Director of THEWRIT.org (a literary and art online publication and writers' workshop). I have published essays, articles, short stories, art, and poetry in various magazines, newspapers, and journals in North America in both English and Spanish, I've directed a short film documentary, and have presented and performed my ideas at over 100 venues, and am the founder of dozens of organizations and programs regarding the arts, education, and philosophy.
I've lived in over three dozen places in the countries of Colombia, USA, Chile, and Canada. This makes it difficult to call any one location home. Nonetheless, I consider any blank canvas, where I can write, my native soil.
