About Me
Well, where do I begin? I guess I could begin by saying that I am not your average joe. I think way too much about everything. I don't like walks in the park, and I don't enjoy reading good books next to a cozy fire. But seriously, I am foremost a Christian. I have been called by the Holy of holies. My life has been predestined to be molded into the likeness of Jesus Christ (Romans 8). I believe God has an awesome calling on my life, and I am trying, everyday, to find areas in my life to give over to Him.I am a Marine, presently being trained to be an Aircrew Crewchief. I LOVE MY JOB! I LOVE serving my country! I want nothing more than to give back anyway that I can because this is truly the greatest country on earth.I am in love with a work of art, a masterpiece, of divine proportions, and her name is Alexis Ruiz. Heart of gold, eyes of bronze, hair of silk, skin of an angel, a smile comparable only to the sun; Venus has nothing on my Alexis. A woman of God is truly a gift from God, rarer than diamonds or silver, a blessing more treasured than any lottery, a pleasure beyond any possible physical satisfaction, and I cannot wait to call her wife. She is truly an amazing woman of God, devoted to knowing her purpose in His will, I praise God for her presence in my life!Everything else, well, I can tell you about some other time. You know how boring it can be writing about yourself. So, if you're curious, write me. Here are some of my favorite quotes; ENJOY!BIBLE QUOTESBut even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:15-18The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation."
Psalm 91:14-16And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Phillipians 1:6For I do not count the sufferings of today, for they lack in comparison to the glory that will be revealed in Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:18For let him who wants to enjoy life and see good days keep his tongue free from evil and his lips from guile.
1 Peter 3:10Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7Be careful what you are hearing. The measure you give will be the measure that comes back to you -- and more will be given to you who hear.
Mark 4:24Blessed is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down where the scornful gather. But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law he habitually meditates by day and night.
Psalm 1:1-2This Book of Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.
Joshua 1:8Do not be conformed to this world (this age)[fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourself] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
Romans 12:2For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of revereance and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things.
Philippians 4:8[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, by having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones).
Ephesians 1:17-18Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people; for He will avenge the blood of His servants, and render vengeance to His adversaries; He will prove atonement for His land and His people.
Deuteronmy 32:43But He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him. And by His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its grapes? Who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk? Do I say this merely from a human point of view? Doesn't the Law say the same thing? For it is written in the Law of Moses: "Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain."[b] Is it about oxen that God is concerned? Surely he says this for us, doesn't he? Yes, this was written for us, because when the plowman plows and the thresher threshes, they ought to do so in the hope of sharing in the harvest. If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you? If others have this right of support from you, shouldn't we have it all the more? But I have not used any of these rights. And I am not writing this in the hope that you will do such things for me. I would rather die than have anyone deprive me of this boast. Yet when I preach the good new of Jesus Christ, I cannot boast, for I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not speak of the good news of Jesus! If I preach voluntarily, I have a reward; if not voluntarily, I am simply discharging the trust committed to me. What then is my reward? Just this: that in speaking of Jesus Christ I may offer it free of charge, and so not make use of my rights in preaching it. Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to lead as many as possible to our blessed savior, Jesus Christ. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to bless the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to bless those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to bless those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to relate the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might show some our Savior. I do all this for the sake of the sharing the good news, that I may share in its blessings. Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

C. S. LewisOur deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles," 1992Fear is a question: What are you afraid of, and why? Just as the seed of health is in illness, because illness contains information, your fears are a treasure house of self-knowledge if you explore them.
