I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm me. There's a lot to that. I'm a mother, student, wife, friend, daughter, sister, and more. I often define myself by those around me, which isn't the best way to do things, but that's the way it is. I am empathetic to the point where it probably isn't healthy for me, but I'm getting better about it.
I used to love doing the whole club/drinking/partying thing, but I've since discovered that there are much better ways to spend your time. And I don't mean on the computer. There are sunsets on beaches, making love with the one person who causes you to be thrilled just to look at him, seeing your child figure out how to spell their name, and having conversations about why the sky is blue with an adorable 3 year old at 7:30am when she's still half asleep. Yep, this urbanite party-goer is turning into a housewife who is ready to move further out to the country. Read my journal to see more.

My Interests

Music, Knitting, Reading (Sci-Fi and Mysteries), Computer stuff, Kids, eDiets, Health, Crime Dramas

I'd like to meet:

Myself. If you see me, please let me know I'm looking for me and to call as soon as possible. I should know the number.

Music:

Stuff. Weird stuff. Indie stuff. Stuff that you have to special order if you go to a music store because no one carries it (although it's usually easy to find .., but hey, who trusts technology anyways?). Cocteau Twins, Steve Burns, Taylor Hicks, John Mayer, Chantal Kreviazuk, Norah Jones, Dead Zone soundtrack, Matt Broughton (if he'd find his darned music again), other random things that I'd think of if I had time to think.

Movies:

The ones I see on TV. Haven't been to a movie in a long time. Example: last movie I remember seeing in the theater was League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Television:

Crime dramas

Books:

Things written by people I know. I'm snobbish that way. People like Naomi Kritzer, Emma Bull, Will Shetterly, Steven Brust, Pamela Dean, Charles DeLint, Ryan Harvey, and, um, more.

Heroes:

ME! I'm SuperZanne, able to leap piles of laundry in a single bound, fix a computer in the blink of an eye, translate from geek to English without a thought, ignore obnoxious kids for hours on end, and tolerate the worst diapers imaginable without losing my lunch. All while sticking to my diet and keeping up with my friends. And without the help of my husband (who is my other hero, for working excessively long hours so I can stay home). He's a truck driver, home weekends. Sort of. Anywho.

My Blog
