2007 marked the release of the "Rise From the Ashes" Demo, an out of print collectors item that helped establish the band as one of prominent rock bands in the DC area. Singles such as "Enemy" and "Labyrinth" received critical praise and earned the band rotation on radio, on-air radio interviews and numerous offers to play at some of the top tier venues in the metro area. The tracks were added to countless internet and satellite radio stations, cracking the "Top 10" downloads and becoming a featured track on others.
After finishing as the "Judges Favorite" and earning top honors out of 150+ bands in a nationally sponsored "Battle of the Bands" in 2007, ALMOST HUMAN became a staple of the rock scene both local and national. The band was awarded an East Coast Tour from 2007 - 2008 sponsored by Anthem Entertainment spanning cities such as New York, Boston, Miami, Washington DC, and Charlotte among others. During the course of touring, the band shared the stage with many major label bands signed to some of the premiere labels in the industry, including Sony Records, Roadrunner Records, Epic Records, and Nuclear Blast while playing on shows sponsored by companies such as Jagermeister and music media giant MTV/MTV2.
2008 saw the release of the second demo from the band, spawning such powerful live favorites as "Eyes Wide Shut" and "Drown the Hero." After a successful string of shows helped cement the reputation of the band as one of the premiere live acts in the DC area, ALMOST HUMAN entered 2009 with high expectations and a rapidly expanding fan base. After touring to extensively and refining a new catalog of material, the band now enters the studio in 2010 to record it's first official studio album.
