About Me

Rocky Point Minstrels is a band based in Rocky Point, a small beachy town on the North Shore of Long Island. There are probably like 20 people out there who have been in this band at least once in their life. For most of the band's existence, it has been based around a close brother and sister duo, Ryan and Joanna. In July 2007 their friend Heather joined them as an official member. They all have pretty busy schedules and thus don't get to play shows or record as often as they would like to.

Influences: The miracle and tragedy of life. Supernatural trains of thought. Unknown origins of restlessness. Creepy surroundings in abnormal places. The screaming of unidentified animate beings in a state of eternal perishing, and love, real love, true love, that brings forth all that we are and all that we do.
Sounds Like: Heartbroken emo kids that went on a perilous sea voyage and suddenly got transported back in time to the 80s. Or something like that.
