Wastem

Wastem, formerly known as Heavy Hamsters is a heavy/thrash metal band from Ptuj, Slovenia. The band started to play some five years ago, but changing band members and finding their path in style of music lead them to play in current line-up from beginning of year 2006. ------History: During the last three years there were some changes in the band line-up. Heavy hamsters were primarily Ales Knez on vocals, Jasmin Mohorko on rhythm guitars, Bernard Pintar on rhythm/solo guitars, Jurij Alic on bas guitar and Marko Kolaric on drums, but Ales left the band in the middle of 2005 for personal reasons, so Bernard moved on vocals. In the end of year 2005 after a couple of gigs, Jasmin decided to leave the band and so HH were left as a trio. Bernard, Jurij and Marko were considering many choices, even looking for a second guitarist, but after a couple of practices they decided to stick with the current line-up. They began to re-write and re-arrange their songs to make them sound good with only three instruments. ------They booked some gigs and played with Sweet sorrow, Sabaium etc. on a few shows around Slovenia. They got some really good feedback about their music on their shows around Slovenia and currently on Metalcamp 06 so they decided to change their name to Wastem in September 06, when they recorded their first demo song, followed by two more.-------------------------------------- All song on profile are demo versions, recorded just to give you an impression of our music. Jurij and I will announce our thoughts regarding the further work.
