Coretex is a solo project run by Jonathan E. Vralstad. With pumping beats and a unique sound, he has become a growing name in the dance-music scene. Coretex has developed since 1995, with a passion for the unique and a never-ending search for new ways to accomplish it.
Originating from the west coast of Sweden. Jonathan grew up in a musically active family. While his older siblings were classicaly schooled, Jonathan set his aim for the newer. His ears almost instantly caught by the early versions of what reaches many people's ears, today.
Fascinated by the artificial, Jonathan soon decided to take a deeper plunge into production. Discovering the power of music software in 1995, Playing around with the crude, but yet effective - so called "trackers". There was simply no turning back. Coretex is now producing in his studio downtown, in the city of Jonkoping, Sweden.
The release of his vinyl debut in 2000, was the first push outwards. Coretex soon appeared on several compilations released in America, Europe and Japan. Also playing on several festivals in Sweden and the Netherlands, sharing stage with people like Andy Hunter, DJ Kubiks and Ultrabeat.
Last.FM says: Coretex from Sweden ignites the peak-hour floor with a perfectly balanced trance formula that takes the old school spirit into the new school sound. Seething atmospherics and percolating synths mesh across the stereo plane, rippled with electro-magnetic acid lines over a pile-driving 4/4 foundation. A must for any fan of Misjah & Tim, Paul Oakenfold, and Paul Van Dyk.
