Wait, the ones I have time for or all of them? Books, music (mostly any kind), ranching, football, roping, barrel racing, hunting (rifle & bow), military history, science (mostly natural sciences), quilting, aviation...I could go on forever.
Cindy Sheehan (so I can kick her in the twat), let me think a little more on this one.
Right now, I am really in to Texas Country. Robert Earl Keen, Jerry Jeff Walker, Kelly Willis, Cross Canadian Ragweed and the like. You can have Pat Green and Cory Morrow, I think they are sell-outs. I like classic rock, classical and a few alternative bands.REK - Gringo Honeymoon
All time favorites: Hunt For Red October, Out of Africa and Giant. If all I had were those three DVDs, I would have a hell of a time trying to pick one. I also like old Westerns; The Shootist, all of Jimmy Stewart's westerns (Two Rode Together is the best), the Magnificent Seven. Even though it is now considered a "new classic", I love Dances with Wolves.
I am an admitted nerd when it comes to TV. I watch mostly the History Channel and the Science Channel. When I need a movie, it is the Westerns Channel or TCM/AMC. The only TV show that I am addicted to is Rescue Me on FX. I can't help it. Some of the shit that goes on there is stuff that happens at the fire station where my husband is at. I think FX has a good thing going there. I watched Desperate Housewives for the first time a few months ago. I was intrigued, but not enough to be excited when the new season opens. Same thing with Grey's Anatomy.
My favorite book is Colin Powell's "My American Journey". I have a copy that has been read and re-read over the years. I bought it on a whim in high school and it has been a bible for me ever since. Fiction is a good one-time read for me. I have read the entire "Sackett" series by L'Amour and they were all good, especially the first ones. I have also read the entire "Corps" series by W.E.B Griffen. It is fictional characters set to non-fictional events. I like mostly non-fiction.
