Dead Rivers: Evidence of a river's past. Estranged from source or sea.Dead Rivers: A project of 4 old friends who played music together, but never all together. We live in separate towns in IL, NC, and NY. In the spring of 2006, we hatched the idea to record. Some songs were ready to go; others would not emerge until the tape was running. The plan: distribute demos via the mail, talk at length, converge in NC over the turning of the New Year 2007 and make an album. We chose 11 songs and arrived at a remote cabin in the western North Carolina mountains to spend 5 days practicing and recording. These songs would become the album "Not All There" which would then endure 11 months of overdubs, revisions, and discussions. Here, all the songs are offered.
