I've been mixing d'n'b for about 7 years after having learnt the ways of the turntables mixing up UK Garage with my man Longshanks. My passion for the beats and the bass really kicked off in 2000 after I experienced it in a big arena at Raindance. Before that I'd been on a bit of a mission finding out what music was for me.
I got my decks in 2001 and started putting in some serious practice, eventually getting bookings here and there in London and Norwich (the latter of which being where I was at Uni at the time). I won the FeeltheBass.co.uk DJ competition in 2003 after playing in a nerve wracking final at Hobson's choice in Banbury and held down a radio show on Livewire 1350am (Uni radio) for the duration of my time in Norwich.
I started producing drum and bass in March 2005 and found myself a new addiction. Since then I've adopted a more open minded approach to my productions and will ironically be found writing pretty much anything but d'n'b!
I am currently one of the resident DJs at the recently refurbished Sunrooms in Southend playing a mixture of sounds primarily made up of hip hop, trip hop and funk, but anything goes! You can catch me down there every 4th Saturday of the month (check 'Upcoming Shows' for details). You can also catch me playing d'n'b b2b with Grimey on London's finest, Rude 88.2 fm each and every Sunday from 2 - 4pm (if you're not in London check the live stream via http://rude882.servemp3.com/ ).
