Born in Montego Bay (capital of W Jamaica and home of big-scale tourism) raised in the capital Kingston. Drawn to music of all types of from an early age, including jazz (Oscar Peterson, Duke Ellington) but didn't become a core jazz fan until mid 20s when I got into guys like Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie and Max Roach.
Have been professional writer and media contributor for close to 20 years including stint as editor (Entertainment) for Jamaica's largest daily newspaper.
Presently run own media company (Bluprint Media) with a partner and am involved in record distribution and artiste rep in addition to publicity and PR
Just began work on simultaneous novel and screenplay inspired by life and times of Skatalites' legendary trombonist Don Drummond as well as "The 100 Gr8test Dancehall Records: 1979-2009. Intend to publish (on my own imprint) 1n 2009.
