It all started in 1985 when my parents decided
to get freaky and forgot to wear protection.
On June 27, 1986 I popped out of my mother.
My parents decided that Daniel Morgan Bonner
would be a suitable name for such a handsome
young lad. I was born in Spokane Washington
on some airforce base, and when I was just a
we-boy we moved to upstate New York. I went
clear through fouth grade in New York before
my parents wanted to move to West Virginia to
be closer to their families. I spent the rest
of my middle school years in a small school in
Buckhannon, and my freshman year my parents
moved me to a small school in Bridgeport.
My junior year I started at Bridgeport High
School and failed miserably. I decided to
take a year off. During that year my parents
and I had a falling out and I moved in with
my grandparents. I took summer classes and
graduated from Buckhannon Upshur High School
in 2005.
---MUSICAL CAREER---
I have been playing drums since 2000, bass since
2001, and guitar since 2004. In 2001 Alex
Skidmore(bass), Levi Southerland(guitar)
and I(drums) started the simple cover band
called Teen Girl Squad (Lorien). We played
simple songs from bands such as They Might Be
Giants and Relient K. Although we never
played any shows, we had fun while we practiced.
In the fall of 2004 I was approached by Ian
Shoulders, Greg Birch, and Noah Tomblyn at
school to see if I would play bass for their
punk band One Too Many Heroes. I kindly
accepted. Over the two years I was in OTMH,
we played with such bands as Darling Waste,
A Lesson Learned, Megatouch, Gods(Zao),
and Death Virginia. We started to get decent
exposure until late 2006 when we decided to
call it quits.
October 2007, A Shattered Deception was born.
The original members were Mike Lewis(vocals),
Noah Tomblyn(drums), Aaron Drabnis(bass)
and myself(guitar). We started out slow,
scoring photo shoots and magazine offers
before we had any music recorded. In March
2008 we won the FSU Battle Of The Bands,
and in June 2008 we recorded our first EP
with Mark Poole at Zone 8 in Morgantown.
Playing shows here and there we didn't
do much with our music. In January 2009
we started recording our new five song EP
with Lance Williams at Foco Theory Studios
in PA. March 2009 the band had a falling
out and we decided to call it quits.
(Keep an eye out on the ASD myspace because
we will be putting up our 5 song EP as soon
as its finished.)
May of 2009 Lance Williams asked me if I would
play guitar for his band Darling Waste.
I accepted. Their new cd 'I Am Born' is
out now and will be distributed at Hot Topic
stores across the United States.
