She goes by the name Mina-G.(A 20 yr. old solo artist on the verge to accomplish her dreams and one day be known in R&B's history). The last twelve years of Mina's life have been spent in Tampa, Florida. Due to her father being in the Air Force, Mina was blessed to have lived in many different places before her family decided to make Florida her home. Family for Mina-G is something she takes pride in. Being the youngest of three, Mina had things in her house at an advantage. But with her being the youngest, she was also the most shy/introverted person in her family. Growing the listening to SWV,TLC,MARY J.BLIGE and many other artists,Mina aspired to be a singer. She didnt realize her gift with music until middle school when she joined the Orchestra and excelled in playing the Viola for 3 years. Her family knew her talent was far more broad that just her voice alone when she began playing hit songs with her viola by ear. When Mina-G was thirteen she really began to express her passion with singing when her and a few friends would find songs to harmonize to. Aside from her group of friends at school, Mina's mother and sister were the only two who ever heard her voice. They always knew she had a voice and couldnt figure out why she wouldnt reveal it to the world. "Timing is everything" is something Mina-G is known to say. And that time for her to break out of her shell is for the world to hear and see.... is NOW.
