About Me

I notice that my “About Me” section really doesn’t tell much about me, so this will be a long revision. My name is Jeremy Stith. Firstly, I am a Christian. Secondly (by that same reasoning), I am a hypocrite. I constantly fall short of what the Bible tells us how to be, and my lack of fortitude is a great handicap to my faith. If any of you have some spiritual encouragement, it is well wanted and welcomed. For those of you who have helped me in my faith, then I thank you with all of my heart, and if any of you need to talk about spiritual matters, then I’d love to help. I have the greatest friends in the world. If it wasn’t for them, I would be much less of a person. I love you all, and I thank you for everything you have done for me. I love you all, and am blessed to know ya’ll. I play drums. That is what I do, although I am not very good at the standards I hold myself to. I played them ever since I had my first drum set, and I love it as much as a normal person loves to breathe. I play in the John Hardin Band, and I am in almost every band in their program. I even made all district this year, and I am rather proud of that. I have lived in the same house my whole life, My parents are good people in a good mood, and can me a little difficult to reason with them when they are angry, but they are good people do I am lucky to have them. I do wish that they would congratulate me more on what I do, or who I am. Sometimes I feel like I could stay out all night, drink, smoke pot, and fail in school, and as long as I keep my room clean and the laundry folded, they could care less. It may not be true but they put that vibe out sometimes. I love music. Any artist who made truly good music, I have listened. I think the definition of a good song is a song you can get up and dance to exhaustion in, or be able to close your eyes and loose yourself in. I have an ongoing blog about songs, and the moods they go with. If you have an Idea for an addition to that list, by all means, please comment me on it. I love books. So far, I am reading the Bible, or better, attempting to. Right now, I almost have the New Testament finished, and the book of Isaiah. If you know any good pieces of scripture, please post them as a comment to me. Otherwise, I really enjoy Tom Clancy’s novels. I have read them all, a few of them twice, and have seen all of the movies. I also enjoy Bill Bryson’s non fiction travel books. My favorite of his books is “A Walk in the Woods,” Which is a real great re-discovery of the American “Wilderness.” I also enjoy writing. I have a lot of ideas for what would make good stories, and I feel that the only way to get them out of my head is to write them down. Through my characters, I always seem to create a being that is the fantasy of what I want to be somewhere in my life. Although I’ll never write for a living, I hope that I could finish a book one day. That would be cool. My biggest pet peeve would be people with a negative self image. God said that he made all humans in his image, so when we look at others, we see the face of God. When we look at ourselves, we need to see temples of worship made to serve him. By all means, we need to be good stewards of what we are blessed with, but we need to not be controlled by others. The opinion of society is an impossible standard that is impossible for anyone to reach. Unless we are happy with ourselves, we can never be the people that God wants us to be. Not to say we need to dress like hippies and not bathe. I love my pumas, and I also try to look good for the ladies. But it also takes e about 10 minutes out of the shower to get dressed and ready for school. My image is not a real priority, but being a beautiful person is. So in closing, all I can say is that you are all beautiful in my eyes, and in the eyes of God, so be glad, your Beautiful!!!!
