It's always a daunting task to categorize ones art/music as it does not come to life by command, even less when having a fixed idea. Sometimes influences result in harsh metal / industrial sounds, some other day more melodic and epic or even more complex progressive stuff. The music is a reflection of those waypoints, that have always been there and will be. Then it's the combination of electronic sounds with acoustic instruments (like bass and guitars) that makes music interesting to me, as a little craftsmanship gives a good grounding and things do not just purely fuck up in computer doodling, that I really despise. So that's it musically.
What gives birth to music? Maybe anger, sadness and the unbreakable will to get out of the normalizing shit that does surround us daily, trying to mute those mouths crying for change, creativity and freedom. Maybe that's why I'm so rooted in this metal thing, as I see those things represented there definitely, more than in any other "music scene" so to say. But I am also aware of those stubborn "true" vs. "untrue", "death" vs. "black" metal battles there, that resemble to me more like a "fratricidal war", rather killing your likes than being healthy at all. Our enemies are happy about that, believe me. Anyway. That's why there's a deep respect for bands like Ulver, Opeth, Apocalyptica, Porcupine Tree, Gojira, Klone or electronics like Numan or Greifenkeil to name a very few (there are many many more out there - YOU rock!) that focus on music, development, radically focussing on quality and not on dogmatic style battles.
Stay tuned and awake. There will be a tomorrow.
