Tuck has been performing since the 6th grading. His first band that he played drums for was called the Red Carpet Disasters. RCD started while Tuck was in the 6th grade and existed till the 8th grade. RCD won a number of battles of the bands and played a few paying public shows in Boise. After that Tuck joined Arm the Hopeless, Euphoric Void, La Knots, The Donna Vulture, The Shoes, Neo Tundra Cowboy and Mrs. Calabash. Currently Tuck is involved with his own music, La Knots and Neo Tundra Cowboy. La Knots is a surf/punk duo that started in the 8th grade with Tuck singing and playing guitar and Demmi Netson (the daughter of Brett Netson from Caustic Resin and Built To Spill) playing the drums. Tuck has performed a large number of shows in the Boise area at venues like The Knitting Factory, The Bouquet, The Neurolux, The Visual Arts Collective, The Venue, The Hyde Park Street Fair, a few battles of the bands and a lot of house shows.-THE SOUND
Tuck Nelsons records sound like a captain going down with his ship. Rich in imagery and sung sincerely, the melodies will stick in your brain after one spin. Recording and playing each instrument alone; guitar, drums, autoharp, piano and vocals among them, Tuck almost has to be discouraged from churning out new albums and songs.
