I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Hi there. Melissa here.

Who am I? Well, a while ago I might have said I was my job. But these days, I'm trying to broaden my horizons. My job is now a part of me, rather than me being a part of my job. Why the switch? I've changed jobs slightly, and it has made all the difference. I'm currently the Executive Director for the newly-formed Community Radio Fund of Canada , something that I have been working on for about 4 years now. Up until April 2008, and for six years before that, I was the National Coordinator of the National Campus and Community Radio Association . So, as the names imply, I'm into community radio. I've also been involved with CHSR FM , CHRY FM , and CHUO FM .

I'm also into theatre. If there was one thing I was born to be, it is a stage manager. It is not just a gig, it's a philosophy. Aside from that, I like to sing and play guitar, collect rocks, and live for the journey instead of the destination.

Seriously, find me on Facebook.
I've been using Facebook for a while now. I was addicted in the beginning just like everyone else, but it's calmed down now. Aside from email, it is probably the best way to reach me. I try to make it to MySpace when I can, but it's pretty sporadic.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Jean-Luc Picard
