NOW, after a long "stand-by" period, Downsiders are still on and they are currently working on a new show! So be motherfucnkin thrashy and stay on to hear and to see for some other news about Downsiders! 'Cause DOWNSIDERS ALWAYS COME BACK!!!.........the answer is: May 2009 Luca (Downsiders) post some fuckin shit in the comment box!!Downsiders were born in the far June 2004, thanks to Luca (guitar) and Paolo (bass guitar) cousins' and Luigi (guitar), whose aim was to set up a new and a different band instead of the Canosa's fuckin narrow-minded and shity habits. This ambitious and hard-to-reach wish could initially rise during a school music show where Luca and Paolo met Tommaso (drums). He showed great and awesome skills as a drummer only when he was eleven years old and then he immediately became Downsiders' drummer. Obviously the latter couldn't refuse and then in a few time Tommaso was "converted" in a motherfuckin great killing drum machine-player (above all thanks to Luca who initiated Tommaso in a hammering and constant submission to heavily thrashy sounds). In the meanwhile Downsiders expand themselves introducing a singer, Silvio (lead vocals). When the crew was complete, Downsiders started to step up to more popularity and they begin to play some covers by their favourite rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers e others; later Downsiders attained to a wider experience and technical maturity, furthering the growth of a more wise critic sense. Downsiders have always been interested in the same preferences and likes in music: the turning point began with a radical and offhand decision by Downsiders to change sharply their aims about "what KIND of music we play?". The choice had been fast and determined: Downsiders deciced to play thrash metal and the first two inspirations had been since from the begin Pantera and Metallica, this "second birth" has led up to other influences also from some death metal bands but also other inspirations coming from rock solos and other riffs and soloistic rock and metal phrases and techniques. The singing style by Silvio reminds Hetfield's one but Silvio's setting is truely most inspired to Phil Anselmo's singing skills. However Silvio's personality shows off the energy and determination to a consistent convey of the kind of music they want to play. Constantly growning, Downsiders started to write their own and self played music and lyrics beginning with basic and simple riffs that are transformed and worked to compose more complex and richer sounds which convey more density and completeness to songs. At this point Downsiders began to work hard then emerged and started to play and to be protagonists of many shows and concerts in Canosa and in the neighbourhood, for example "1° Maggio - Nuova Linfa Vitale Musicale (2006/2007/2008)", "Free Music" and "Festa dell'unità ". Nowadays Downsiders define more and more precisely their own style and sound making themselves more popular to everybody and affirming themselves as an original, "Strong&Heavy"-sounded band.
