The LEJION, is an emerging hip-hop group made up of SRATEGY and JFK in the U.S., with additional members on the continents of Europe and Africa. Drawing on life experiences and early musical influences such as Bob Marley, Tupac Shakur, and Fela Kuti, LEJION music started off as an eclectic mix of rap, hip-hop, reggae, and R&B. Music from our initial studio sessions in 2000 and 2001 reflect these influences as songs were recorded for each of these categories. Our aim has always been a simple one; to produce quality music that can be universally accepted while reflecting our African heritage as Nigerians in the Diaspora. Creatively, LEJION is a self-sufficient group that covers all aspects from songwriting to production. Also engaged in other forms of artistic expression such as visual art and fashion design, LEJION is evolving from just simply music, into a lifestyle movement. With a substantial body of work already under our belts, LEJION is entering the next phase of its musical journey. In continuing our tradition of relaying our emotions and experiences, we hope to put listeners in the position to be able to visualize our topics and narration in such a way as to make our experiences theirs.
